Summary: The Part-Time HR Coordinator with a construction industry background will provide administrative support to the human resources department, ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions. This role involves assisting with onboarding, employee record maintenance, and coordinating various HR programs. The HR Coordinator will handle communication with employees regarding HR policies and procedures, employee benefits and other HR related functions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and multitasking skills who can handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

· This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

· Organize, maintain, process and update accurately all employee records and files weekly.

· Act as technical resource for employees and administrative employees to address and resolve inquiries and problems relating to the human resources function.

· Coordinate and administer COBRA insurance, ensuring timely and accurate processing of information according to procedures.

· Monitor 90-day orientation period for new employees and schedule and conduct benefit meetings. Ensure new employees complete all benefit paperwork accurately and follow-up on late paperwork. Process all completed paperwork according to procedures.

· Complete and distribute the insurance premium summary. Notify payroll of correct payroll insurance deductions.

· Complete disability insurance paperwork, when applicable.

· Verify employment of employees as requested. Follow up on all unemployment cases.

· Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are incompliance.

· Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

· Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.

· Works with Leadership team to administer yearly performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

· Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.


Qualifications

· A valid Driver's License and good driving record

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

· Robust problem-solving abilities.

· Superior communication with co-workers and clients

· Teamwork attitude

· The ability to trouble-shoot and think critically, with attention to detail.

· Must be able to travel, as needed in SE WI.

· Human resources experience in Construction industry

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.


Work Schedule

Between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to, nights, weekends, and holidays.

This position is a part-time role with a commitment of 10-30 hours per week. The schedule may vary based on company needs and will be discussed during the interview process. Please note that part-time employees may not be eligible for certain benefits offered to full-time employees.


Education and/or Experience

· Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification a plus

· Minimum of four years of relevant experience; previous experience in human resources preferred

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience


Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
