Position: Property Damage Claims Adjustor

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $70k to 80k/PA


Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Property Damage Claims Adjustor to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating, assessing, and determining the extent of liability in automobile property damage claims.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain clear communication with all relevant parties, including policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair facilities, contractors, police and fire departments, and legal professionals.
  • Handle telephone and email communications regularly to ensure effective claims processing.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, gather detailed statements, and assess liability, coverage, and damages.
  • Analyze the value of damages to both client and claimant vehicles and negotiate settlements with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to evaluate cases in litigation.
  • Document all findings and maintain accurate records throughout the claims process.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Technically proficient with a capacity to quickly learn new systems and software.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and decision-making.
  • Prior experience with auto property damage claims is preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Property Damage Insurance Adjuster's License is a plus.
