Your Role: As a Field Property Claims Specialist, you will be an essential problem solver, addressing both minor and major challenges. Reporting to the Property Claim Manager, you will manage homeowner property claims within the designated area.
Work Environment: This position is primarily home-based, allowing you to spend approximately 80% of your time working remotely and in the field.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $55,000 and $90,000, with variations based on job level and geographic location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate the origin and cause of claims by engaging with relevant parties, including insured individuals, claimants, agents, and contractors.
- Identify complex issues and seek assistance as necessary, ensuring claims are handled in good faith.
- Manage both first-party and third-party claims across various policy types and endorsements.
- Conduct on-site inspections as required, assess damages, and negotiate claims with insured parties and other stakeholders.
- Respond to customer inquiries, make informed decisions, and close files as appropriate.
- Interpret and apply policy details, leases, and contracts to all parties involved in assigned claims.
- Proactively communicate the claims process and status to all parties, addressing questions or redirecting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Experience managing first-party and third-party multi-line claims across various territories.
- Ability to handle moderately complex claims or similar experience.
Licensing Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain state-specific property casualty claims licensing.
Travel Requirements: Up to 50%, including potential catastrophe duty.
Physical Demands: Ability to navigate various environments, including customer homes and other locations, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Xactimate is advantageous.
