Position Overview

Business Office Manager - Construction Experience Preferred

We are seeking a Business Office Manager with construction experience to manage the financial and administrative operations of our construction business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting, payroll, reporting, and other duties to ensure the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting and financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and other management reports
  • Coordinate with project managers and construction personnel to ensure timely and accurate reporting of project costs
  • Assist with the preparation of bids and proposals
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures
  • Manage office operations, including maintenance of office equipment and supplies
  • Train and supervise office staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with construction accounting software (e.g. Sage 100 Contractor, Procore)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Nice to have: Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reporting
