Our client has developed a truly cutting edge carbon capture technology used to make environmentally sustainable polymers. With commercial scale manufacturing in place and state-of-the-art R&D and Technical Service resources, they are poised for significant growth. They require a very experienced polymer industry sales professional to develop and leverage relationships at leading polymer manufacturers, to help them adapt this new technology to achieve their decarbonization objectives. This position can be performed on a fully remote basis but will have a very significant travel requirement to customer sites and the headquarters office.


Responsibilities


  • Identify and engage with suitable target account contacts to deliver the value proposition for this novel polymer technology.
  • Leverage experience calling into leading global polymer manufacturers to sell resins used for decarbonization efforts.
  • Use existing target leads and work to enlarge the existing opportunity funnel and commercialize opportunities.
  • Successfully negotiate major supply agreements.
  • Identify barriers to commercial success and engage the organization to remove them.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Be accountable for sales budgets, forecasting and reporting.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with business development and marketing efforts.


Requirements


  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Business or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of business experience within the polymer manufacturing industry.
  • At least 10 years of sales experience.
  • Executive presence and highly developed business acumen.
  • Strong understanding of polymer technology and the ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter.
  • Well-developed polymer industry network.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate at the C-level.
  • Ability to travel as required.
