Position Overview

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer at APTNEXUS. The role supports our client located in Arlington, VA, with flexibility for up to three days of remote work per week after 2 successful months of onsite work. The Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer will support the development, implementation, and daily operations of cyber engineering strategies, tools, and techniques that contribute to enhancing the cybersecurity posture of our U.S. Civilian agency client environment.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management, or related field
  • Experience as an Information Systems Security Officer or Manager
  • Experience developing and managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization packages and supporting artifacts throughout their lifecycle
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP and solid understanding of cloud computing architecture within cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) along with federal compliance standards
  • Experience with using cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, and Qualys
  • Experience with hardening servers, workstations, routers, switches, and mobile devices in accordance with CIS or STIG guidance
  • Security Engineering capabilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with risk assessment and mitigation
  • CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications
