We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Insurance Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate patient information management and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate and enter patient information and insurance coverage into the EMR system.
- Efficiently obtain prior authorizations for referred patients.
- Secure authorizations for patient treatments, ensuring compliance.
- Oversee and verify patients' insurance benefits, and explain these benefits to patients.
Patient Interaction:
- Greet patients upon arrival, ensuring minimal wait times.
- Complete the check-in process, including collecting co-pays, co-insurance, or deductibles.
- Answer and redirect calls, assist callers with questions or concerns.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and employees.
Requirements:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with excellent customer service skills.
- Fast learner with strong organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of health insurance verification and authorization submission processes.
