Robert Half is seeking an HR Generalist for a client in Princeton, NJ. This role will support a wide range of HR functions with a focus on payroll administration. This role will be supporting the HR Manager in day-to-day operational activities. This role offers a relaxed but professional environment, and we are looking for someone who will fit in well


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the HR Manager in executing daily HR tasks and company policies.
  • Manage the payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee queries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and payroll.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, posting job ads, organizing resumes and job applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial phone screens as needed.
  • Help in the coordination and implementation of staff training and development programs.
  • Manage confidential matters with discretion and maintain employee confidence.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in human resources positions.
  • Strong understanding of the payroll process and related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptive and optimistic, ready to tackle challenges with a positive mindset.
