From a first concrete arch bridge in 1904 to high performance stay cable bridges using latest technologies including robotic inspections on stay cables, DYWIDAG works with government authorities, asset owners, construction companies and design offices to support their infrastructure projects.


Are you a field worker that is looking to gain greater experience on large-scale projects and move into a supervisory role?


We are looking to hire Post-Tensioning Stay Cable Supervisor for our North American Projects. However, this position is US based.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Guide a team of workers to install the stay cables according to the existing Method Statement. This includes welding HDPE pipes, set-up of the equipment for cable installation, lift the pipes and pull in strand by strand with a set of winches, stressing each strand and carry out all finishing works from corrosion protection, installation of a fire protection system, a monitoring system and hydraulic dampers at each cable.
  • Keep records of the working hours of your team.
  • Go through the Daily Risk Assessment with your assigned team to make everybody aware of tasks and precautions on a daily basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Professional Crafts work experience
  • Professional Crafts work experience in construction a plus
  • Experience in Post Tensioning and HDPE Welding preferred
  • Must have valid Driver's License
  • Good English and/ or Spanish language skills


COMPETENCIES


  • Ability to work with tight deadlines, tight scope but with a creative input.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of post tensioning systems or the ability to gain this knowledge quickly.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and time management skills.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS


  • Travel may be required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Physical resilience, quick comprehension and high-quality awareness.
  • Ability to work at heights.
