A growing organization HQ'd in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Payroll Specialist who will process payroll for 1,000+ union and non-union employees. They offer great work life balance, benefits and opportunity for growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and prepare withholding payroll tax returns and payments
  • Prepare and file quarterly withholding, federal and unemployment tax returns
  • Assist Payroll Manager by researching tax notices received from taxing authorities
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local taxing authorities
  • Upload payroll for weekly processing- review for errors, coordinate with branch to fix errors, prepare checks or direct deposit and bank file upload
  • Process payrolls for 18 branch locations weekly, including layoffs, adjustments and missed time
  • Reconcile and prepare monthly and weekly union report remittances
  • Enter all new hire set ups in Spectrum, update terminations and furloughs accordingly
  • Process weekly 401k withholdings
  • Report monthly payroll info for CCIP & OCIP jobs


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of payroll experience
