Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and board review.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with program managers and executive leadership.
  • Grant Accounting: Manage the accounting and financial reporting for grants, including compliance with funding source requirements.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate annual audits and assist with audit preparation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to internal controls.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and report variances; manage banking relationships and cash disbursements.
  • Financial Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements for non-profit organizations.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with grant accounting is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
