Candidate must possess a proven track record for originating business in the not-for-profit healthcare and/or higher education sectors while serving in the capacity of financial advisor or investment banker. 

 

Responsibilities:

·       Business prospecting, origination and development.

·       Deal execution from structuring to closing.

·      Lead financing teams through plan of finance analysis and development, document drafting and negotiation,

and execution.

·       Work with staff to develop financial models and related analyses based on client’s financing needs.

·       Prepare correspondence, marketing information, and presentations with other advisors and associates.

·       Responsibility for organizing responses to formal solicitations by potential clients, where applicable.

·       Direct research and compilation of market data relating to prior or future transactions.

·       Coordinate calls and meetings among the financing team and interact with lawyers, accountants,

rating agencies, insurers and other professionals to coordinate the deal process.

·       Perform other duties and special projects, as necessary.


Requirements:

·       Minimum of eight years of public finance/municipal bond investment banking/financial advisory work

experience.

·    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field required. A CFA or master’s degree in business

administration, hospital administration or another related field is preferred but not required.

·      If not already licensed, must be willing to obtain the appropriate licenses, within three months from the date of

employment.

·       Excellent quantitative skills and knowledge/proficiency of debt structuring/derivatives with an emphasis on

numerical analysis.

·       Experience with reviewing and negotiating legal documents.

·       Fluency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint.

·       Strong professional communication and inter-personal skills, and the ability to succinctly express complex ideas.

·     Proficiency in managing multiple project-oriented tasks effectively and in a timely manner with exceptional

attention to detail.

·      Ability to work independently while being team-oriented; prioritize tasks, react to changes, and solve critical

issues.

·       Willingness and ability to travel, at times on short notice.

·       Qualified candidates must possess a high level of motivation, initiative and leadership potential.
