Position Overview

As a Senior Tax Consultant at Forvis, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with clients to develop effective tax strategies that promote growth and mitigate risks. Your commitment to building strong relationships will enable you to provide exceptional support to both clients and team members, ensuring a thorough understanding of their unique business environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering comprehensive tax compliance, advisory, and provision services for both pass-through and C-corporation entities, focusing on sectors such as manufacturing, distribution, construction, real estate, professional services, technology, and financial institutions.
  • Overseeing, mentoring, and training junior tax professionals to enhance their skills and career development.
  • Fostering and managing client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Providing outstanding client service that consistently exceeds expectations.
  • Representing Forvis at industry networking events to enhance visibility and relationships.
  • Contributing to the proposal process for prospective clients.
  • Engaging in campus recruitment initiatives to attract top talent.
  • Contributing to technical guidance for internal and external publications and participating in learning and development sessions.
  • Collaborating with team members to allocate projects effectively and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate tax and public accounting.
  • Possession of a CPA license or meeting the educational requirements for CPA licensure.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a Law degree.
