Overview

Tax Director

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our finance team as its tax director reporting directly to the chief financial officer. In the director role, this individual will be tasked with overseeing the tax strategy, compliance, and reporting of the company. The tax director will be directly responsible for managing, developing and implementing our company tax policy and planning strategies to protect and leverage the company's assets at optimal effective tax rates. The successful candidate will need to maintain responsibility for a broad array of corporate concepts, practices, and procedures and will need to rely on their extensive corporate acumen to plan and accomplish goals.

* Develop and implement the company's tax strategy, policies, and procedures
* Manage the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns and reports
* Monitor and analyze tax legislation and regulatory changes and assess their impact on The Judge Group
* Identify and pursue tax-saving opportunities and incentives
* Manage federal, state and local tax audits and inquiries and resolve tax disputes and issues
* Work directly with our accounts payable and billing teams to define and implement effective process and internal controls as well as oversee the assessment, collection and remittance of sales and use taxes
* Maintain accurate and complete tax records and documentation
* Coordinate with and oversee external tax advisors, auditors, and authorities
* Provide tax advice and guidance to the management and our board on business decisions, transactions, and projects
* Prepare and present tax reports and analysis to members of senior leadership
* Keep abreast of the latest tax developments and best practices
* Review and coordinate the transfer pricing documentation performed by outside international advisors.
* Regularly participates in strategic planning meetings
* Maintains responsibility for project management in designing, developing, and implementing business and tax solution
* Works directly with the Chief Financial Officer and senior business operation leaders to implement legal-entity rationalization strategies
* Possesses key involvement with Company merger and acquisition activities

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in accounting and / or finance
* Master's degree or CPA certification required
* At least 10 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax environment
* Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Experience working in a private company structure
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* High degree of social adaptability and sensitivity to cultural differences.
* Advanced MS Office Suite Skills as well as extensive experience in work with accounting software and ERP systems.
* Working knowledge of large scale ERP systems, experience leveraging technology (Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
