The Mobile Developer will build platform functionality and participate actively in the delivery team by taking on development responsibilities for our company's mobile applications. The Mobile Developer will lead the development, design, and strategy of our platform by identifying and capitalizing on emerging technology trends, spotting industry trends, and leveraging outside-in thinking to demonstrate the art of what’s possible within technology. This role will impact millions of customers through building the next generation of award-winning mobile experiences. Job responsibilities include:
- Building highly usable features and improvements to mobile applications, ensuring that code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
- Engaging with Product Managers and other stakeholders to create world-class customer experiences for mobile channels
- Crafting code that meets our internal standards for reusability, style, and maintainability, and secures best practices for a high-scale digital financial solution; maintain and advocate for these standards in code reviews
- Solving technical problems of high scope and complexity
- Working in an Agile environment, gaining exposure to continuous integration and delivery tools, and building consensus regarding project direction
- Working cross-functionally to resolve and understand complex technical and design issues
- Serving as a mentor for Junior Engineers and peers in the mobile development practice to help grow their technical responsibilities and remove blockers
Job Qualifications:
- 2 – 5 years of experience designing and developing cohesive, highly usable iOS native mobile applications; Mobile Engineering experience within a cross-functional Agile team
- Ability to think thoroughly regarding systems and services, and writing high quality code; our Mobile Developers primarily work in Objective-C, Swift, SwiftUI, iOS SDK/Frameworks, REST APIs, and JSON
- Experience developing with React Native
- Hands-on experience in Java/JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions
- Strong collaboration skills in all aspects of teamwork; ability to accept feedback, learn from mistakes, and provide a positive attitude
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to effectively juggle competing priorities
- Deep knowledge and interest in tech concepts, strategies, methodologies, and their application to business opportunities
- A passion for creating value for the customer, and enthusiasm for the Agile processes that help develop these products
- A self-starting mentality and a passion for experimentation, with success creating highly performant, optimized websites
- Comfortability in dealing with change and ambiguity, with an excitement for moving quickly
- A desire to work within a diverse group of people, and a passion for challenging the status quo
- A belief in culture of transparency and trust, with an openness to learning about new ideas outside current scope or knowledge
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
