About the Role:

As an Android Developer at Synechron, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing high-quality native Android applications. Your focus will be on working closely with our design and engineering teams to create applications that provide exceptional user experiences. You will leverage your skills in Android Studio and cross-platform frameworks to build, test, and deploy robust mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance high-quality native Android applications.
  • Collaborate with design teams to refine application architectures and improve user experiences.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing and deployment strategies utilizing Jenkins.
  • Conduct code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality and best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Manage the complete application lifecycle, from initial concept through delivery, including post-launch support and updates.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to enhance performance and resolve issues.
  • Work collaboratively with other mobile developers and product managers to realize app concepts through a cohesive build and test strategy.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in mobile development technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Android application development.
  • Strong proficiency in React Native and comprehensive knowledge of Android Studio.
  • Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Thorough understanding of the complete mobile development life cycle.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as React Native and Flutter.
  • Expertise in offline storage, threading, and performance optimization.
  • Proficient in version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Knowledge of push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines tailored for mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of containerized application development with experience in deploying within PCF/Kubernetes environments.
  • Proficient in DevOps tools including Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with code quality tools/frameworks such as PMD, SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, and Mutation Testing.
  • Experience with relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • A minimum of 3 years working within Agile Scrum or SAFe Agile frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
