Our client is looking for a Construction Project Manager who's built ground up or tenant improvement hospitality projects.
The Client
Top ENR ranked commercial general contractor with over a dozen offices throughout the US. They work in all major vertical construction markets. Over the last 20 or so years they have completed over $2bn worth of hospitality projects, tens of thousands of doors delivered both renovation and ground up.
The Job
The Project Manager (PM) oversees the development, coordination, implementation, and management of all project facets to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality completion. The PM provides leadership, acts as a liaison between project team members, and promotes the interests of both the business and clients. As the primary leader for the construction project, the PM exemplifies mid-level leadership characteristics.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage project budgets.
- Develop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP packages.
- Conduct project meetings, set milestones, and prepare monthly owner reports.
- Establish job processes, including RFIs, submittals, and pay applications; approve and negotiate subcontract change orders.
- Perform project scheduling, ensure quality control, and establish project logistics.
- Manage the project closeout process efficiently.
- Engage with customers to discuss and meet their needs with company services.
- Supervise assistant roles such as assistant project managers, administrative assistants, MEP managers, and safety team members.
- Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team.
- Ensure safety standards and maintain required documentation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Additional work experience may substitute for a degree.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction
- Experience managing multiple projects is a plus
- Proficiency in construction software, including Microsoft Office, ProCore, BlueBeam, etc
- Expertise in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Strong organizational skills to manage resources, meet deadlines, and achieve results.
- Knowledge of market conditions, pricing conventions, and trends.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills.
- Positive attitude and passion for construction.
- Clear, concise, and professional communication skills.
- Adaptability to new technology and methods.
- Ability to maintain and develop client relationships.
