SBLI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of .NET Development to lead a team of five developers. This role is ideal for a .NET architect or a senior developer who is ready to advance their career into a technical, hands-on management position. As the Manager, you will guide your team in architecting, developing, and maintaining complex distributed systems while ensuring alignment with SBLI's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five .NET developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Architect and oversee the development of complex distributed systems using Microsoft .NET technologies, including .NET Core 8 and Blazor.
  • Serve as a technical leader, guiding the team in applying Object-Oriented (OO) design principles and patterns to develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Actively participate in hands-on coding, particularly in complex or critical projects, to set standards and drive best practices.
  • Facilitate the design and implementation of APIs and web services, with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Manage the integration and deployment of applications through Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
  • Oversee Azure administration tasks, ensuring secure and efficient operation of managed identities, KeyVault, web apps, functions, and storage.
  • Implement and manage OAuth 2 authentication protocols, with experience in Okta being a plus.
  • Provide technical guidance on advanced C# .NET Core topics, including interfaces, singletons, and dependency injection.
  • Lead the team in adopting test-driven development methodologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using tools such as Postman, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience within the Microsoft .NET environment.
  • Proven experience as a .NET architect or senior developer, with a strong desire to transition into a managerial role.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET Core 8 and Blazor, with a deep understanding of distributed system architecture.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Object-Oriented (OO) design, development, and the application of OO patterns and principles.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for guiding and developing a high-performing team.
  • Advanced proficiency in C# .NET Core 6+, including a solid understanding of interfaces, singletons, and dependency injection.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and YAML configuration.
  • Proficient in Azure administration, including managed identity, KeyVault, web apps, functions, and storage.
  • Familiarity with OAuth 2 authentication protocols; experience with Okta is a plus.
  • Experience with Git, feature branching, and test-driven development methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience using tools such as Postman, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.


This is a minimum of 3-days per week in the Woburn, MA office and two days from home. No relocation or sponsorship available.
