People & Culture Manager (HR) - Shenandoah Mansions
3 months ago
ASH Hotels designs, develops, owns and operates a very special collection of properties. In our world, a hotel is much more than a destination to meet, dine, or sleep. Rather, it is a dynamic site of imagery and emotions, interactions and sensations manifesting within the walls of a beautifully restored local legend - a living movie set. An ASH hotel is a connection to the past and a beacon for the future, layered in nuanced storytelling that invites exploration time and again.
Like Richmond, Shenandoah Mansions is a place of revived, impossible contradictions: between North and South, old-world and new age, urban and nature, charm and grit. ASH NYC has blended and condensed these contrasts into Shenandoah Mansions – a six-story boutique hotel in Richmond’s bohemian Fan District. Whether on advertising business or an architecture tour of the neighborhood’s Queen-Anne estates, our three F&B spaces (The Phone Inn, Lobby Bar, and the third installment of ASH-Bar) bring together work and pleasure over a single-malt. The hotel’s pine-wood lobby, private garden, 73 guest rooms, and 4 luxury suites connect the folklore and craftsmanship of the Shenandoah valley under one historic roof. As modern Richmond grows its contemporary identity alongside a pastiched European heritage, let Shenandoah Mansions be the ultimate vantage point for that marriage.
Our ideal candidate
The feel of Shenandoah Mansions lies within the energy of each and every team member. Our People & Culture Manager will have an intuitive understanding of people, their unique talents, and their potential in the hospitality industry; ultimately setting each employee on a path of success. A reliable, thoughtful, and concise communicator, our ideal candidate will have experience fostering a safe, creative and healthy workplace that people can thrive in. This is someone who understands the irreplaceable contribution each role at the hotel plays, problem-solves with ease, and can handle logistical duties such as payroll and facilitating difficult conversations. As an essential backbone to the team, our People & Culture Manager will support the team in adhering to Ash guidelines as well as celebrate important milestones and holidays in a fun, brand-appropriate manner.
