Overview:

Due to rapid growth and new partnerships Northeast Scientific is looking to hire a Sales Manager to evolve and grow the Sales Team.

  • This full-time with benefits position is on-site in the Waterbury CT office, Monday through Friday.


  • This position will have limited if any travel and be solely focused on the day to day management of the Sales Team and Administrative duties of the Sales Department.


  • This is not a typical Medical Device Sales role. There is no clinical or outside sales focus to this role.

  • Training and Developing a Sales Team via setting, refining and being accountable to daily, weekly and monthly KPI's to deliver the Sales Quota


  • Data Based Decision Making and CRM management with Netsuite and Qlik


Compensation Package

  • Base Salary Commensurate Experience

Primary Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete and maintain all appropriate training, and correctly document production records both manually and digitally in accordance with company’s quality system standards as required.
  • Manage sales staff by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and evaluating their quarterly performance
  • Assists in achieving or exceeding the sales quota, sales revenue and profitability goals, and marketing objectives
  • Assists with building, refining, and executing the company’s sales strategies and tactics, promoting products to existing and new customers
  • Assists other departments to optimize sales, receivables, customer service and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain an active management role with key accounts and strategic partners
  • Limited travel to key accounts or tradeshows (2-3 days per quarter if at all)
  • Assists with establishing assigned accounts, sales goals, quotas, discount targets, and measurements for subordinate staff
  • Assist in the development of department budget, manage department expenses
  • Responsible for attending monthly administrative meetings
  • Responsible for approving and maintaining PTO of subordinate staff, and reporting department’s schedule to integrate into production planning
  • Maintains a clean, organized workspace
  • Follows the company’s safety and quality guidelines
  • Additional responsibilities, projects, tasks, or objectives as assigned by Company Executives


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of clinical/medical device sales experience
  • 2+ years of clinical/medical device sales management experience
