Klondike Digital Infrastructure is a power and digital infrastructure company founded by New Fortress Energy. We are leveraging NFE's expertise in constructing and operating power systems, building critical infrastructure, and developing commercial real estate to develop "behind the fence" data center sites around the world. By utilizing behind-the-meter, on-site power, we're addressing all of the major constraints of digital infrastructure development, providing grid stability, significant transmission capacity, power reliability, energy cost savings, and scalability. We are developing a geographically diverse portfolio of data center sites that will satisfy the requirements of hyperscale users.


What you will do:


  • Oversee day to day operations of the Klondike facilities to ensure adequate processes and procedures are in place to achieve safe and reliable operations.
  • Help develop the operations plan for every project, including project support through commissioning, start-up and continuous operations and maintenance for the entire lifecycle of the asset.
  • Provide project execution support through an Operational Readiness Assurance program ensuring all aspects of the facilities are ready for commissioning and start-up per the project schedule.
  • Providing coaching, training and development opportunities for the team to ensure appropriate skill sets are achieved and maintained.
  • Assist with implementation and scheduling of training with newly hired operators as well as programs that cover operations, maintenance, safety and regulatory areas for all employees.
  • Developing activities that provide a work environment that promotes effective goal accomplishment, productivity and morale.
  • Establishing relationships and communicating effectively with site staff, management, vendors, external stakeholders and partners, outside agencies including government and regulatory bodies, and the local communities.
  • Establishing business systems, processes and procedures that will prepare the facility for the long-term.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all O&M personnel and plant objectives are in alignment with requirements.
  • Develop, implement and administer the plant’s Safety, Operations, Compliance, Security, Maintenance, Administrative, Training, Chemistry and Environmental QA/QC programs to assure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant.
  • Forecast and develop yearly production budgets and targets.
  • Alongside the Offshore Installation Managers, responsible for managing and executing the site’s Emergency Response Plan.
  • Responsible for leading the development and stewardship of annual and long-term budgeting, monthly opex forecasting, procurement, administration of major plant contracts, service agreements and plant-level financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of required client and utility reports, budgets, environmental compliance reports, etc.
  • Manage and oversee the planning, budgeting contracting, and performance of planned and unplanned plant outages.
  • Implement training and qualification programs to assure operations & maintenance personnel are competent and procedures are understood and properly followed by all plant personnel.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of plant policies and procedures to assure that they reflect current plant operating requirements.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement for people, processes and production.


What you bring:


  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Chemical or Mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Previous experience leading operations teams.
  • Experience in the project execution phase for managing operational readiness.
  • Extensive data center and digital infrastructure experience with a work history that demonstrates a pattern of accomplishments and advancement.
  • Knowledge of best in class and best practices utilized by major international data center and digital infrastructure companies.
  • Strategic thinker with the capacity to implement targets and influence the outcome.
