Position Summary

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually appealing and effective designs for both print and digital media. You will work closely with the marketing manager to develop engaging graphics that communicate Skymint’s brand message effectively. You will need a strong passion for design and a keen eye for visual aesthetics. You should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. You should also have a good understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory. Additionally, strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment are crucial for success in this role.


Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and build omni-channel retail campaigns from the ground up (web, email, SMS, store signage, etc).
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in creating and executing design concepts for various projects
  • Produce high-quality graphics and layouts for print, digital media, packaging, merchandise, and accessories.
  • Offer creative solutions to visually educate consumers on a Skymint shopping experience.
  • Work with suppliers and to ensure graphics for packaging, merchandise, and accessories are production-ready.
  • Ensure all designs align with the brand's visual identity and guidelines.
  • Manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
  • Provide input and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new marketing/design ideas.
  • Maintain an organized repository of files.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and design techniques.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Graphic Design
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Cross functional collaborator, as well as independently motivated
  • Must be 21 years of age and able to pass a background check


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with website design and UI/UX principles
