POSITION TITLE: Intern, Business Development


ORGANIZATION SUMMARY: Galehead is the leading upstream technology and services platform for planning, management, and delivery of greenfield development pipeline for the Energy Transition. Galehead is a trusted project development partner to global utilities, Independent Power Producers, and Fortune 500 companies. Since its founding in 2016, Galehead has deployed its proprietary LandCommand® technology and specialized upstream platform to develop more than 15 GW of solar, storage, and wind projects under active development by Galehead and its Downstream Partners including Tyr Energy Development, EDF, Clearway, Rev Renewables, Steelhead, Engie, and Longroad.

In 2022, Macquarie made a strategic investment providing growth capital for Galehead’s platform and its development pipeline.


POSITION SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Enterprise Sales team as an intern. As an intern for Galehead Development you will gain hands-on experience in sales, customer relationship management, and renewable energy technologies. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn and contribute to our mission of accelerating transformation of energy markets through data-driven origination and best-in-class development of low-impact, price-leading clean energy resources.​​​​​​ In this role you will gain exposure to corporate partnership strategies and business development opportunities to further the energy transition. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead generation
  • Assist in identifying potential clients and generating leads.
  • Research and compile lists of potential customers.
  • CRM Management
  • Utilize CRM software (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to track leads, manage customer interactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Learn to create and update customer profiles, track communication history, and manage follow-ups.
  • Sales support
  • Collaborate with the sales team to prepare sales materials, presentations, and proposals.
  • Assist in organizing sales events, webinars, and product demonstrations.
  • Market research
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and potential markets.
  • Analyze data to identify growth opportunities and customer needs.
  • Customer communication
  • Support team communication with potential and existing customers
  • Sales reporting
  • Assist in preparing sales reports, including pipeline analysis, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.

  • Enthusiasm for Renewable Energy: Passion for sustainable energy solutions.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • CRM Experience: Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to changing industry dynamics.
  • Self-Motivated: Able to work independently and as part of a team.
