Job responsibilities include:

  • Oversight for sourcing of mechanical commodities
  • Assist in developing commodity strategies that reduce company risk, reduce supply base and cement vendor relationships.
  • Manage vendors to obtain lowest cost for company and customers
  • Identify, evaluate, select, qualify, manage, measure and audit suppliers
  • Participate in new product introduction teams by developing new sources, new components the meet specifications, and negotiating best price and delivery strategies
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance and risk migration
  • Continuously drive and improve supply chain productivity


Qualifications needed:

  • BS/BA and 6+ years of supply chain experience OR HS diploma and 9 years of applicable experience that includes sourcing and procuring mechanical components
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical prints and files
  • International commodity experience in Asia, Europe and the Americas is a bonus
  • Sophisticated understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma familiarity
  • Prior ERP experience, solid MS Excel
