President & Rental Sales Director

The President and Rental Sales Director will be responsible for overseeing both the strategic and operational functions of the company. This role involves leading the sales function, ensuring the achievement of revenue and profitability targets, and managing the relationship between the company and key clients. The President will also oversee financial management in coordination with shared services and provide direction and leadership to the Asset Manager and Operations Manager along with their respective teams.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Leadership and Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed the company’s revenue targets for boiler rentals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee major account management and lead the sales team in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM tools for tracking performance, client relationships, and sales pipeline.

2. Operational Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the Asset Manager and Operations Manager, ensuring efficient coordination between asset availability, maintenance, and sales.
  • Ensure the timely management of operating permits for mobile assets in NYS and NYC, maintaining full compliance with local regulations.
  • Oversee contract management for all sales, ensuring agreements meet both operational and client needs.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Sales Director and Asset Manager to align operations and sales strategies for optimal performance.

3. Financial Oversight:

  • Work closely with the shared services provider, Miller Proctor Nickolas, Inc., to manage the company’s financial health, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Develop and implement KPI-driven performance metrics for sales, financial and operational management.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to the CEO, including profit margins, cost efficiency improvements, utilization, forecast, and cash flow health.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing leadership team across sales, operations, and asset management functions.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the CEO to review performance, set priorities, and drive alignment across the company.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation within the company.

5. Market Expansion and Strategic Planning:

  • Lead efforts to expand market share and grow the company's presence in the boiler rental industry.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, staying abreast of market trends and identifying opportunities to outpace key competitors like PowerHouse, Nationwide Boiler, Power Mechanical, and Ware Inc..
  • Ensure alignment of business goals with the company’s long-term vision, values and strategic objectives.


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior sales or operations role within the industrial equipment rental or boiler industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
  • Strong understanding of boiler systems, steam & hydronic technology, and related services.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading senior-level managers (e.g., Sales Directors, Asset Managers, and Operations Managers).
