Purpose: The Associate Visual Merchandiser is responsible for supporting the in store visual merchandising experience, as well as the creation and production of the monthly Visual Merchandising directives. Support the development and oversight of signage-based directive & communications, ensuring all signage is accurate and available for stores to execute against.


Core Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and development of seasonal design concepts and merchandising strategies that drive sales.
  • Create visually appealing and impactful retail environments through effective space planning, curated product presentation and styling.
  • Assist in the set-up of Retail mock windows for the review and approval of creative design.
  • Partner with the Sr. Visual Merchandising Manager to photograph mock stores.
  • Manage the production of Retail & Outlet Visual Guides to ensure hand off to Merchandisers in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for consistency, clarity and accuracy of signage content provided to the field teams (Quarterly Signage Requests, Signage Libraries, Window & Interior Signage Checklists, Toss/Keep Lists, etc.).
  • Identify and resolve pricing issues for all upcoming promotions & partner with Pricing & Planning teams to address any needed shifts in merchandising strategy.
  • Support Visual Merchandising team in responding to store issues relating to props, signage & collateral needs.
  • Builds effective relationships throughout the company to align support for all visual merchandising and brand initiatives.
  • Maintain project calendar to ensure all deadlines & floor set due dates are met.
  • Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor


Position Requirements:

  • Associates Degree, Bachelor’s degree or technical education in electronic publishing and design techniques preferred.
  • 2+ years visual communication experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be productive and flexible in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret visual presentation direction.
  • Ability to effectively influence up, down and across the organization.
  • High level of skill motivating and influencing others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop is preferred.
  • Limited travel may be required, based on business needs.
  • Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
  • Hybrid schedule requires in-office attendance Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level


The salary range for this position is $67,725 to $80,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, SPARC Group, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
