Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual statements by collecting data, analyzing, and investigating variances, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Prepares journal entries for monthly closing process
  • Assists with inventory control and reconciliation processes
  • Maintains lease accounting database and related monthly adjustments
  • Prepares month-end accruals
  • Prepares month-end reconciliations
  • Assists with sales tax filing requirements by studying regulations, adhering to requirements, and advising management on required actions.
  • Assists with the preparation of personal property tax returns
  • Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data
  • Provides financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles, and practices
  • Prepares special reports, forecasts and analysis
  • Assists Treasury Department staff with reconciliations and banking
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ finance and accounting experience
  • Certified Public Accountant certification in progress acceptable.
