As a Specialty Support Specialist, you will perform routine duties including but not limited to reviewing cases; filing of court documents; assist in analyzing due diligence materials regarding all aspects of the company's business operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned cases and their related tasks and projects.
  • Perform full range of tasks from case inception through case closure.
  • Monitor court docket sheets for assigned cases and take ownership of case progression.
  • Prepare documents such as fee applications; proofs of claims; settlements; etc.
  • Review Court Dockets as well as various legal documents relating to Default Servicing.
  • Communicate with various internal/external partners as to the status of the case.


Required Qualifications:

  • Prior legal or paralegal experience is a must.
  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to interact effectively with staff, attorneys, clients, courts and other professionals required.
  • Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or Paralegal Certificate plus 5 years legal experience dealing with Default Servicing and/or BK; Probate; Debt Management or Loan Restructuring.
  • Experience with Default Servicing tools such as such as TLO, , Accurint, Lexis Nexis, Credit Bureau Reporting, PACER; Court E-Filing; Trustee Websites, Third Party Debt Management Companies.
  • Experience with Katabat (CMC) collections system.
  • Expereince with FastTrack and/or Salesforce.
  • Experience with call center technology.
  • Previous bankruptcy; probate; debt management company; experience.
  • Knowledge of FDCPA; US Bankruptcy Process and Procedures; State Probate Process; etc.
