Key Job Responsibilities


The Marketing Manager at Fraport JFK Terminal 5 is tasked with leading the marketing efforts for the shopping and dining experience at Terminal 5. This role involves crafting and executing marketing plans, initiatives, and programs to enhance customer experiences, boost engagement, and drive traffic and sales to T5's restaurants and retailers. Responsibilities include:

  • Local Marketing Strategy and Campaigns: Developing and managing strategies, campaigns, and events that align with T5’s goals.
  • Budget Management: Allocating and overseeing the marketing budget effectively.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with retailers, community partners, and other stakeholders to integrate marketing efforts.
  • Digital Integration: Piloting digital services and projects to enhance the customer experience.

We seek a passionate, innovative marketer knowledgeable about New York City and retail, eager to reposition JFK T5 as a premier transportation hub. This on-site role is based at JFK Terminal 5.


Key Job Functions:


Consumer & Marketing Communications

  • Develop the annual Marketing Action Plan, focusing on local programs, market positioning, and consumer-facing initiatives to enhance the customer experience and support strategic goals.
  • Manage creative agencies and resources to produce impactful marketing materials and campaigns, including overseeing creative briefs, brand assets, media buys, and more.
  • Collaborate with national communications and PR teams to develop local media relations plans, supporting marketing campaigns, new store openings, and crisis management.
  • Partner with Fraport’s Events Team, JetBlue, Port Authority, and other stakeholders to create consumer events and sales promotions that drive retail and restaurant sales.

Operational Marketing

  • Work with JFK T5 teams and stakeholders to identify revenue opportunities and ensure asset value creation.
  • Foster strong retailer relationships, understanding their businesses to encourage participation in marketing programs.
  • Oversee third-party marketing vendors to achieve marketing goals.
  • Support the management program with operational duties, including Manager on Duty responsibilities.

Digital & Services

  • Innovate JFK T5’s digital and customer service strategy, adopting a digital-first approach to improve the customer journey.
  • Develop a comprehensive digital plan with corporate marketing and IT teams, implementing solutions like mobile ordering, digital directories, and Wi-Fi.
  • Drive website and social media strategy, overseeing digital campaigns and influencer engagement, and monitoring content results.
  • Optimize the customer journey to ensure a seamless experience and enhance customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.

Development Marketing

  • Implement the development marketing plan for center repositioning in collaboration with the corporate marketing and asset teams.
  • Develop the launch strategy for new developments, including creative development, brand, media planning, community engagement, and milestone events.
  • Manage community and stakeholder relations, outreach, and partnerships to support asset repositioning.

Market Research & Analytics

  • Lead the generation of customer insights and consult with the Analysis & Insights team.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market trends, applying insights to marketing strategies.
  • Communicate the center’s performance metrics and their implications for ongoing strategy.

Financial Management & Legal

  • Oversee the annual marketing budget, including tracking and managing expenditures.
  • Authorize expenses according to established policies, ensuring adherence to budget limits.
  • Collaborate with legal, consultants, and third-party vendors following company procurement procedures.

General

  • Inspects leaseholds for compliance with lease terms and conditions including but not limited to cleanliness, safety, operational functionality, and other requirements as identified.
  • Oversees the administration of various policies and procedures to ensure that established property management goals are met in an efficient manner.
  • Establishes and maintains professional relationships with users, tenants, and airport representatives.
  • Represents Fraport USA at events, public and professional meetings.
  • Prepares, maintains and analyzes detailed reports as required.
  • Provides advanced level lease administration services to include assisting with requests for bid/proposal packages, leases, operating agreements, use permits, licenses, and similar documentation.
  • Provides merchandising support to tenants, driving results in product presentation and store appearance.
  • Assists in the design/ process review for the development of the individual concession locations.
  • Communicates any chronic or serious tenant concerns in a timely basis for partnership on corrective action.
  • Participates in rotational Manager on Duty program.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
  • Driver’s License may be required and must be maintained.


Physical Demands

  • Moving from one work location to another, sitting or standing at a workstation for extended periods of time, extended periods of walking in an airport terminal.

Work Schedule

  • Core work hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:00pm, but workload and operational requirements will necessitate additional and alternate hours to include evenings and weekends.
