Builders Capital is currently looking for a Closing Manager to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Closing Manager will be focused on overseeing the performance and providing support to the closing team. This role will guide the team through the gathering and iterative reviewing of due diligence documents prior to closing. The goal of the Closing Manager is to ensure the team has clear direction and support so that they can work efficiently and effectively to responsibly close loans.

Day To Day:

  • Provides guidance, training, and support to team members, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to efficiently manage their closing pipelines.
  • Sets clear expectations, monitors performance, and provides regular feedback to team members to foster growth and development.
  • Continuously evaluating and improving closing processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Effectively manages workload distribution and prioritizes tasks to ensure timely closings and optimal team performance.
  • Produce, collect and organize closing documents for each closing file. Review each closing file to verify documents are present, accurate, compliant and sufficiently complete for closing.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the Closing Specialists.


Education And Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • 5 + years of experience working in the commercial lending industry, with a deep understanding of loan products, regulations, and closing processes specific to construction projects.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.


Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a broad set of responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of risk management principles and a proven ability to identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the closing process.
