Purpose


Account Manager – Primary responsibility is to grow the market by maintaining current business base, broker management and acquiring new business in area of responsibility. Manager will achieve established financial targets assigned and actively engage in selling Sandridge food products to customers. Manager will also serve as the primary liaison to specified operators, distributors and other buyers and represent the company and its core values at all times.



Responsibilities


  • Manage accounts within both the foodservice and retail segments
  • Build strong value-based relationships with our key customer that grow our mutual businesses through building and executing a Collaborative Business Plan annually
  • Present, promote and sell food products using customer discovery with both existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit analytics as part of discovery process
  • Achieve defined annual sales targets and strategic outcomes
  • Balance and manage Promotional Accounts by customer
  • Support the sales process by designing or assisting with local ads, marketing programs, and promotional venues
  • Work in collaboration with various internal teams (Marketing, Culinary, Procurement, Customer Service, Accounting, Scheduling, etc) to develop and implement solutions that meet customer demands
  • Develop customer annual review strategies, incorporating advanced financial acumen to gain the support of decision makers and influencers
  • Aggressively learn and apply modern business practices: financial, e-commerce, comparative analytics, sales implementation, trending
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Work in conjunction with broker team to grow business
  • Plan and conduct sales meetings and trainings – Broker and Distributor sales level
  • Execute trade shows from organization (materials, samples, transportation) through attending shows including set-up and tear-down
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personnel growth
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and practices
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and reports
  • Self-starter that demonstrate initiative and an eagerness to learn



Qualifications


  • The ideal candidate will live within 2-3 hours of Medina, OH.
  • 1-3+ years of professional sales experience required. Experience selling to grocers, restaurant operators, MUO’s, or distributors, strongly preferred.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • A degree from an accredited institution strongly preferred. Significant career experience in sales without a degree would meet expectations.
  • Solid knowledge of business interactions in the food industry.
  • Demonstrated competency with basic MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Demonstrated business writing and communication proficiency.
  • Exhibits the personal traits and character qualities in decision-making and interaction with internal and external customers that emulate the highest professional standards and Sandridge’s core values.
