Our client, a professional association for CPA’s is seeking a Chapter Support Specialist to join their team.

  • This is a temporary position with potential to convert to a perm job.
  • The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with overtime.
  • The position is hybrid; 2 – 3 times per month when events are scheduled.
  • The pay rate is $26.00 per hour.
  • The perm salary is $60,000.00.

Primary Purpose of Position:

This position is responsible for supporting and outreaching to the chapters and coordinating programs under the direction of the Membership Manager (Retention). The Chapter Support Specialist will coordinate project management of chapter activities and outreach.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact with the Society’s chapters. Provide day-to-day support and information to chapter volunteers on membership, CPE and social chapter events, and other Society programs.
  • Prepare agenda and materials, and capture minutes for Society Chapter Presidents calls and other chapter-related meetings.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of and materials for the annual Chapter Organizational Meetings and PIU/Town Hall sessions. Assist the Media & Government Relations Manager in coordinating chapter legislative breakfasts as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating and providing on-site support for the following member retention and NextGen programs and events:
  • Annual Meeting
  • Leadership Institute Program
  • New CPA Ceremony
  • Emerging Leaders Program and Awards Ceremony
  • Society and Chapter Social Events
  • Student Events
  • Society Leadership Conference
  • Assist the MSF Program Manager with COAP site support and work collaboratively with him/her/them to ensure a coordinated effort between MSF and the chapters on the COAP program.
  • Support the Membership Manager (Retention) in the membership renewal and retention efforts, including phone and email outreach to lapsed and resigned members.
  • Utilize project management software to track and monitor project progress.
  • Other duties as assigned by Membership Manager (Retention) or Membership Director.

Qualifications

The Chapter Support Specialist is expected to support the Society’s chapters, under the supervision of the Membership Manager (Retention). This position requires the ability to effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse multicultural environment.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of three years’ relevant experience.
  • Requires strong project, time management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, determine priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with database management software i.e. Aptify, AM.net, iMis, NetSuite, etc.
  • Experience with project management software i.e. BaseCamp, Asana, Monday.com, etc.
  • Experience with data analytics software, i.e. Sisense, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through effectively.
