Company Description

The Long Island Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (LIBOR) is a not-for-profit trade association that serves over 26,000 real estate professionals in Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens counties. As the fourth largest local REALTOR® Board in the United States, LIBOR upholds a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. LIBOR members have the option to participate in the MLS and are members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and the New York State Association of REALTOR®.


The Project Director is responsible for leading and managing teams and implementing processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. This includes setting and managing expectations, developing a detailed project plan, defining the scope of the project, understanding project risks, overseeing implementation, assigning team members to specific tasks.

The Project Director is responsible for leading and managing teams and implementing processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. Essential Duties:

• Properly scale, plan, execute, track, manage, communicate progress, and close conversion and projects.

• Lead project planning discovery meetings, gather project requirements, document workflows, develop detailed project plans and project communications.

• Act in a collaborative manner to maintain internal and external team alignment and drive commitment accountability.

• Communicate with stakeholders and department managers to ensure expectation alignment, progress visibility, and awareness of project risks and blockers. 

• Support company-wide stability initiative by identifying department process gaps. Develop, implement, and train team members to support comfortable process transitions.

• Serve as scrum master by facilitating the following:

o Project planning meetings with sprint teams, cross-teams, and stakeholders

o Oversee Epic/Story/Task creation and assignment. Ensure documentation of each.

o Run weekly Sprint planning and daily standup meetings to track progress, identify risks, blockers, and scope creep.

 Daily Kanban board updates and prioritization

 Weekly backlog grooming and prioritization

• Develop and maintain widely visible commitment tracking tool and project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, dependencies and risks.

• Ensure documentation of the projects and processes are generated, maintained, and versioned using a shared documentation repository.



Requirements:

• Minimum of (5-10) years IT project management experience

• Minimum 2 years Agile and Scrum Methodologies - Scrum Master certification a plus

• Ability to navigate through technical discussions, influence discussions, and gain consensus on project scope, task ownership and timing.

• Organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.

• Ability to prioritize and be productive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

• Strong negotiation and persuasion skillset.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to solicit input from others.

• Experience with integrated multi-vendor applications.

• Ability to clearly communicate at all levels within an organization.

• Strong understanding of project management life cycle.

• Fully conversant with Agile / Scrum development life cycles.

• Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Flexibility to be available for after-hours or weekend implementation projects when required.

• Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications including Visio, Teams and SharePoint.

• JIRA experience preferred.
