We are in search of a proficient, organized, and motivated Project Operations Director to enhance our dynamic team.

Role Overview

The Project Operations Director is accountable for guiding and managing teams while implementing processes to guarantee that projects are completed punctually and yield the intended outcomes. This encompasses establishing and managing expectations, crafting a comprehensive project plan, defining project scope, recognizing project risks, supervising implementation, and assigning specific tasks to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively scale, plan, execute, monitor, manage, communicate progress, and finalize projects.
  • Lead project planning sessions, gather project requirements, document workflows, and develop detailed project plans and communications.
  • Collaborate to maintain alignment within internal and external teams and foster accountability.
  • Engage with stakeholders and department leaders to ensure alignment of expectations, visibility of progress, and awareness of project risks and obstacles.
  • Support company-wide stability initiatives by identifying departmental process gaps and developing, implementing, and training team members for smooth process transitions.
  • Act as a scrum master by facilitating:
    • Project planning meetings with sprint teams, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.
    • Oversight of Epic/Story/Task creation and assignment, ensuring thorough documentation.
    • Weekly Sprint planning and daily standup meetings to monitor progress, identify risks, obstacles, and scope changes.
    • Daily updates and prioritization of the Kanban board.
    • Weekly backlog grooming and prioritization.
  • Develop and maintain a visible commitment tracking tool and project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, dependencies, and risks.
  • Ensure that project and process documentation is generated, maintained, and versioned using a shared repository.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of years in IT project management.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies; Scrum Master certification is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate technical discussions, influence conversations, and achieve consensus on project scope, task ownership, and timelines.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and remain productive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to solicit input from others.
  • Experience with integrated multi-vendor applications.
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels.
  • Strong understanding of the project management life cycle.
  • Thorough knowledge of Agile/Scrum development life cycles.
  • Exceptional analytical and independent problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to be available for after-hours or weekend implementation projects as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Visio, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with JIRA is preferred.
