The Long Island Board of REALTORS (LIBOR) is a prominent local REALTOR Board in the United States, catering to real estate professionals across various counties. We are in search of a qualified, organized, and motivated Project Director to enhance our dynamic team.
Position Overview
The Project Director will oversee and manage teams while implementing processes to guarantee timely project delivery and achievement of desired outcomes. Key responsibilities include establishing and managing expectations, creating comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, assessing risks, supervising implementation, and assigning tasks to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively scale, plan, execute, monitor, manage, and finalize projects.
- Facilitate project planning meetings, gather requirements, document workflows, and develop detailed project plans and communications.
- Collaborate to maintain alignment within internal and external teams and foster accountability.
- Engage with stakeholders and department leaders to ensure alignment of expectations, visibility of progress, and awareness of project risks and obstacles.
- Support company-wide initiatives by identifying process gaps and developing training for team members to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Act as scrum master by leading project planning sessions, overseeing task creation and assignment, and ensuring thorough documentation.
- Conduct weekly planning and daily standup meetings to monitor progress, identify risks, and manage scope changes.
- Maintain a visible commitment tracking tool and project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, dependencies, and risks.
- Ensure proper documentation of projects and processes is maintained and versioned in a shared repository.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of years in IT project management.
- At least 2 years of experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies; Scrum Master certification is a plus.
- Ability to navigate technical discussions and influence consensus on project scope and timelines.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to gather input from various stakeholders.
- Experience with integrated multi-vendor applications.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels.
- Strong understanding of the project management life cycle.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development life cycles.
- Strong analytical and independent problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to be available for after-hours or weekend projects as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Visio, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience with JIRA is preferred.
