Responsibilities of the Patient Advocacy Coordinator:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to advance patient advocacy goals.
  • Develop and implement state and patient advocacy priorities.
  • Research, develop, and disseminate patient advocacy resources.
  • Support state advocacy initiatives and grasstops efforts.
  • Manage relationships with patient advocacy organizations.
  • Assist with policy-related initiatives and advocacy events.
  • Engage with stakeholders and patient communities.
  • Provide logistical support for committees and events.
  • Monitor legislative developments and engage in advocacy activities.
  • Collaborate with state medical societies and sub-specialty organizations.
  • Develop written materials on legislative issues.


Qualifications of the Patient Advocacy Coordinator:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in patient advocacy.
  • Strong project management, event planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in public policy research and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
