Summary

We are recruiting a Regional Sales Director. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the development and successful delivery of growth objectives for the business in your assigned region. You will be responsible for growing and developing the region’s revenues by selling new subscriptions to new customers, growing existing customer revenues by up/crossing selling additional/other services, and ensuring high levels of customer service and high renewal rates.


You will manage a team of sales professionals who are focused on growing new and existing customer business, driving product usage/adoption, preventing reversals, managing accounts, and providing outstanding customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive regional and team revenue growth by achieving and surpassing annual sales targets.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and inspire a high-performing sales team capable of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Dedicate 3-4 days per week to fieldwork, participating in sales calls alongside team members, while providing ongoing coaching and training to enhance their sales performance and ensure quota attainment.
  • Oversee the identification, prioritization, and acquisition of new client relationships, as well as the retention and expansion of existing client accounts. Build strong connections with key accounts in the region.
  • Track and evaluate sales performance, holding team members accountable for meeting sales activity goals and maintaining strong client relationships to achieve business objectives.
  • Actively manage and monitor weekly team activities, including participation in Monday Morning Sales Meetings, regular office presence, and prompt utilization of CRM systems (Enterprise/GoSell) to log sales activities, pipelines, and account assignments.
  • Set clear performance expectations for individuals and the team that align with business objectives, and address any performance issues or necessary personnel adjustments to ensure targets are met.
  • Provide ongoing development, support, and mentorship for all team members to foster growth and success.


Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Preferred candidates will have extensive client-facing experience
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in senior sales leadership with a focus on selling data, research, or analytic platforms across industries like Financial Services, Business Intelligence, Real Estate, Marketing, or Information Services.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing teams of 6+ sales professionals, with a demonstrated ability to recruit, onboard, train, and cultivate high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record managing a portfolio with annual revenues exceeding $10 million.
  • Experience driving sales in fast-paced, high-transaction environments with consultative sales approaches and short sales cycles.
  • Expertise in developing and nurturing long-term client relationships and strategic partnerships across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated history of accelerating sales growth within a defined territory or market through both new business development and account expansion, consistently outperforming targets over several years.
  • Strong internal relationship management skills, collaborating effectively with peers, leadership, teams, and departments, as well as external stakeholders including customers and partners.
  • A successful history of retaining top sales talent while addressing performance challenges as needed.
