For our customer team in the US, we are looking for a Customer Project Engineer.


What will you do for us as a Customer Project Engineer?


You work at customer locations as the key Engineer to bring great-sounding audio systems to the market


  • You develop strong relationships with customer engineering teams to ensure all development needs are met
  • Work with customer design teams to insure proper mechanical/electrical integration of loudspeakers into the vehicle
  • You utilize critical thinking skills to provide input and customer mindset on root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • You steer project actions towards customer expectation and deliverables
  • You lead post-validation product teardown reviews with the customer
  • Handle change management with the customer via engineering work orders
  • You understand the customer product roadmap to support growth of new business opportunities
  • You ensure RFQ design proposals meet customer expectation and negotiate deviations and sample requirements
  • Travel domestically (10%) and internationally (5%) to support the product development process


What will you bring to PSS?


  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, acoustic, or systems engineering
  • 5+ years of related experience, preferably in the automotive field
  • Master interpersonal skillset (persuasive, drives for success, charismatic…)
  • Excellent technical and conceptual skills, hands-on and dives into details (CAD Viewer, GD&T knowledge…)
  • Knowledge of loudspeaker design and acoustics is a plus
  • Pragmatic, proactive and solution driven team player in a global and multicultural organization
  • Good communication skills. Flawless oral and written English is a must. Dutch, Spanish or Chinese is a plus
