As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge software solutions for asset development planning. **This role requires the ideal candidate to work on-site at our client's office, located in Houston, TX.


Responsibilities:

• Industry Expertise: Utilize your background in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering to provide in-depth insights into the Oil & Energy sector, focusing on asset development, optimization, and finance.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders, including engineering teams, project managers, and finance professionals, to understand business requirements and translate them into software solutions.

• Requirements Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives and desired outcomes.

• Data Analysis: Leverage your analytical skills to interpret complex data sets related to asset development and financial performance, providing actionable insights to drive decision-making.

• Solution Design: Collaborate with software development teams to design innovative solutions that address business challenges and enhance asset development planning processes.

• Project Management: Assist in project planning, monitoring, and coordination, ensuring that deliverables are aligned with business objectives and timelines.

• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, user stories, and process flows, to facilitate effective communication within the team.

• Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that software solutions meet established standards and fulfill business requirements.


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven track record as a Business Analyst in the Oil & Energy sector.

• Strong understanding of asset development, optimization, and finance within the industry.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence

• Experience with Python, JSON formats and Spotfire.

• SQL proficiency is a plus.
