Job Title: Crude Oil & Gas Scheduler Department: Marketing

Summary of Position

INEOS Energy US Marketing is hiring a Crude Oil and Gas Scheduler on a full-time basis for its Houston, TX location. This role will schedule crude oil and natural gas on pipeline systems and manage pipeline imbalances. The individual will track daily production sales volumes, track imbalances, and coordinate with pipelines for nominations. This individual will be part of a team that manages all commercial aspects of marketing oil & gas.

Responsibilities
  • Track daily production sales volumes and multiple pipeline / well-head imbalances
  • Perform oil & gas scheduling functions related to accurate and timely plant / pipeline nominations
  • Utilize multiple Electronic Bulletin Board systems to submit daily nominations as well as monitor pipeline notices for maintenance and other operations postings; communicate as appropriate
  • Monitor and resolve volumetric discrepancies between measurement points / delivery points
  • Develop tracking tools to effectively manage pipeline data and reconcile volumes
  • Act as liaison with volume accounting for pipeline statement and invoice reconciliation
  • Manage pipeline cuts and communicate to internal customers as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain relationships with essential field personnel, contract administrators, midstream contacts and downstream pipeline representatives
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to coordinate daily production requirements
  • Work closely with INEOS Energy Trading to provide a forecast of natural gas and crude volume available to market
  • Maintain/Develop scheduling spreadsheets for tracking nominations, imbalances and inventory to aid in the optimization of daily flows and sales
  • Read, understand, and retain key commercial contract terms for your scheduling area.
  • Support product blending, contract reviews, waterbourne vessel scheduling, terminal nominations and inspector assignments
  • Support special projects as required
  • Provide backup for oil truck scheduling and coordination

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, operations management, logistics or similarly related field
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant oil and gas industry experience required
  • Strong commitment to safety, regulatory and environmental principles
  • Experience with programming languages (SQL, Power BI, Python), a plus
  • Previous experience in natural gas scheduling, a plus
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft related products (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Role requires analytical ability and creativity in problem solving
  • Demonstrates excellent organization and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal / written communications skills
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented
  • Ability to handle problems and facilitate successful outcomes
  • Ability to communicate and resolve issues in a professional and tactful manner
  • Role requires 24x7 responsibility of scheduling area. Weekends can be rotated between backup as agreed
  • Understanding of US natural gas intrastate, interstate and gathering pipeline scheduling, operations and constraints, a plus
  • Willingness to travel as needed
