Technical Project Manager – Remote opportunity with travel

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic Government Security Compliance (GSC) team to support Defense Programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of cybersecurity and IT projects, developing comprehensive lifecycle plans for operations and maintenance, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and meet security compliance.


This position will be approximately 75% remote and 25 % travel.



What You’ll Do:

Project Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT and cybersecurity projects.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
  • Implement project management best practices and methodologies.


Service Delivery:

  • Ensure the timely and quality delivery of IT and cybersecurity services.
  • Monitor service performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.


Lifecycle Planning:

  • Develop and maintain lifecycle plans for IT systems and cybersecurity infrastructure.
  • Plan for system upgrades, replacements, and end-of-life transitions.
  • Ensure systems are maintained in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.


Risk and Compliance Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT and cybersecurity projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans.


Communication and Reporting:

  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.


What We Need:

  • US Citizenship required due to contractual requirements
  • Secret clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity project management.
  • Proven experience in managing complex IT and cybersecurity projects
  • Strong understanding of IT and cybersecurity systems, operations, and lifecycle management, risk management and compliance requirements
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
