The Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) Senior Analyst/Logistician collects and interprets data defined by United States Marine Corps (USMC) CPAC Technical Publications, policies, and procedures to meet goals and improve organizational performance. The CPAC Senior Logistician is the critical link between the USMC CPAC Program Office and regionally located corrosion service activities. Their duties include the collection, analysis, interpretation, and transmission of information from internal and external stakeholders to improve program efficiency. The Senior Logistician is responsible for the master data set, the collection and production of reports, the revision of CPAC technical manuals and program policy, annual training requirements, and the assessment of program best practice to ensure effectiveness. The CPAC Senior Logistician must possess knowledge of and experience with the USMC CPAC program, a solid understanding of maintenance and supply concepts as it pertains to USMC tactical ground and support equipment, effective communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a CPAC Senior Logistician:

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the USMC CPAC Program Office on a range of technical and maintenance issues associated with Marine Corps tactical ground and support equipment, weapon systems and their associated subsystems in accordance with applicable technical publications and organizational policies.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and reconcile CPAC program operations, policies, and procedures for trends, patterns, and anomalies to ensure efficiency, quality of service, and cost effectiveness.
  • Establish, maintain, and prepare CPAC program report schedules. \
  • Present CPAC program information and recommendations to the Product Manager to create efficiencies and inform decisions.
  • Review and understand all Marine Corps Orders, technical manuals, and policies involving Corrosion Prevention and Control.
  • Participate in the development and revision of program policy, technical manuals, and training plans.

· Attend and participate in CPAC Program directed meetings, briefings, and working groups.

  • Participate in and provide CPAC program training (Database, policies, and procedures) as necessary.
  • Provide general support to CPAC Program Office.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections as necessary.
  • Periodically review and maintain the CPAC website.
  • Assist the CPAC Program Office with the coordination of the annual CPAC Working Group.
  • Conduct travel in support of the CPAC program when required by the CPAC Program Office.
  • Provide input into the Corrosion Control and Coating (C3) budget preparation and execution process as requested by the CPAC Program Office.
  • Validate and verify USMC tactical ground and support equipment and their status within the CPAC Program Database.
  • Coordinate with CPAC Program Database Manager to update USMC tactical ground and support equipment status as necessary.

Requirements

  • Hold or be capable of passing a background check to receive identification credentials through the Defense Biometric Identification System.
  • Hold or be capable of obtaining a Secret clearance prior to being granted access to classified information up to the level of Secret.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of Marine Corps publications, directives, and technical manuals.
  • Possess knowledge of and the ability to identify and discuss Marine Corps tactical ground and support equipment, weapon systems and their associated subsystems.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Marine Corps maintenance, supply policies, and organizational procedures.
  • Possess the ability to work with automated information systems used to collect and report maintenance and supply data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess the ability to identify mistakes and direct corrective action plans.
  • Possess the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Possess the ability to estimate and complete projects on time.
  • Possess positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • During short-durations (10 percent), the Senior Logistician may be required to travel and conduct site visits.
  • During long-durations, the Senior Logistician is required to conduct data entry from a sitting or standing position.
  • During long-durations, the Senior Logistician may be required to work indoors.
  • Visual accuracy is required.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Shall possess a BS degree in business, finance, or accounting. An advanced degree or coursework in business, finance, or accounting is desired. Education shall be obtained from an accredited college or university.
  • At a minimum, shall possess five (5) years demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and execution processes related to CPAC Programs across the Armed Services.
