Job Summary:

The Director of MIS is responsible for overseeing the organization's information technology systems, infrastructure, and personnel. They develop and implement MIS strategies aligned with the company's goals, ensuring efficient and secure systems are in place to support operations and drive business growth.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the organization's MIS strategy, policies, and procedures to support business objectives

• Collaborate with Project Manager to identify resource needs for strategic implementations

• Manage the MIS department, including hiring, training, and supervising MIS staff

• Build out training program for each of the core systems for new hires and existing users

• Provide oversight of current MIS systems and seek continuous improvement for operational efficiencies and competitiveness

• Collaborate with global department heads to understand business needs and provide MIS solutions

• Establish and manage MIS budgets, controlling costs while maximizing value

• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and scalability

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to MIS

• Stay abreast of evolving MIS trends and provide leadership to the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning through training, networking, and cross-functional collaboration

• Assess current state of cyber security; identify gaps; conduct audits and develop new strategy

• Establish and implement cyber security measures

• Evaluate and implement cyber security training programs

• Implement cyber security policies for the company


Qualifications and Skills:

• Preferred Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; or relevant work experience

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in MIS management, including 5+ years in a leadership role

• Expertise in MIS governance, project management, and vendor management

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making abilities

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Strategic thinking and ability to align MIS initiatives with business goals

• Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices

• Experience managing MIS budgets and controlling costs

• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements

• Understanding of other systems is a plus (Doclink; Sugar CRM)

• Experience working in a global organization is a plus


Required Skills/Experience:

• Hybrid role with minimum of 3 days working onsite at Freemen Nutra. Strong preference is to work onsite in our Edison, NJ Office; Working onsite in our Brea, CA office will be considered for the right candidate

• Extensive knowledge of current applications: Sage X3; SEI

• Ability to effectively drive culture and technology-change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
