Job Type: 12+ month contract
Job Overview: The System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, with a specific focus on Microsoft Intune, device configuration, patch management, and scripting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing both Windows and Mac environments and will be proficient in automating tasks through scripting.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and manage devices using Microsoft Intune. Ensure compliance and security policies are enforced.
- Set up and configure new devices for users, ensuring they meet company security standards and user requirements.
- Manage and apply patches to software and operating systems to address security vulnerabilities and improve system performance. Monitor and report on patch compliance.
- Develop and maintain scripts (primarily in PowerShell) to automate administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and security, troubleshoot issues, and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Manage and support both Windows and Mac devices within the corporate environment.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Windows systems.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Assist in improving features of the Digital Workspace Modern Device Management Technologies.
- Assist in improving features and services that are operationalized in Intune of both physical and virtual environments.
- Utilize Intune’s cloud-based functionality to enforce both mobile device management and mobile application management best practices. Role will leverage additional functionality such as Desktop Analytics, AutoPilot, Azure AD Domain Join, and Hybrid-Domain Join
- Administer enterprise OS deployment and device management platforms (MDT, Tanium, Intune, Jamf, etc.) for installing, deploying, updating, and monitoring endpoint devices, providing a secure, stable and productive computing resource.
- Proficient in Microsoft Intune for device management.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience with patch management and deployment.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with managing Mac OS environments
