We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Superintendent to join our team in Costa Mesa, CA. Reporting directly to the General Superintendent, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of job planning, scheduling, safety, quality control, and project documentation. Your leadership will be essential in managing field employees, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Your Role:

As Superintendent, you will be the driving force behind the successful execution of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Review plans and specifications, coordinate between design disciplines, and develop detailed job schedules. You'll track labor requirements and ensure all subcontractor scopes are thoroughly reviewed.
  • Safety & Compliance: Identify special safety and weather requirements, work with Safety Managers to ensure all safety aspects are covered, and verify permit requirements and inspections.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact the project schedule, and maintain jobsite conduct for all trades.
  • Documentation & Communication: Manage all relevant documentation, including permits and drawings, and maintain excellent relationships with owners, architects, agencies, subcontractors, and employees.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Monitor labor and material costs weekly, review subcontractor billings, and provide monthly progress updates for cost analysis.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience: You bring at least 10 years of construction experience, including a strong track record of managing large, complex projects.
  • Communication & Leadership: Your excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with your ability to train and mentor others, make you an effective leader.
  • Technical Proficiency: You are skilled in Microsoft Office, scheduling software (such as MS Project, P6, or Suretrak), and have experience with project management software (like CMiC or similar programs).
