Our projects span across California and Washington, addressing complex challenges with innovative, cost-effective solutions.If you have a passion for leadership and a background in mechanical operations, we invite you to apply and contribute to our mission of excellence in environmental and civil engineering projects.**Superintendent Responsibilities:** As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will be responsible for determining the best means and methods to execute the project, ensuring all work is performed safely, with high quality, and within budget. You will manage field crews, oversee equipment, materials, tools, and manpower needs, and ensure that the project schedule is adhered to. Additionally, you will conduct material takeoffs required for the project and serve as the overall safety lead on-site.Our superintendents are expected to be tech-savvy, proficient in using Excel, Bluebeam, and creating piping shop drawings/ISOs, whether on a computer or by hand. You will have an in-depth understanding of the project, including all construction details, and be responsible for devising safe and efficient methods to complete the job.We are currently seeking a superintendent for our OC SAN projects, which include three contracts at Plant 1 (Fountain Valley) and Plant 2 (Huntington Beach). You will work closely with the Project Manager (PM), who handles the commercial aspects of the project, while you oversee the construction phase.The projects under contract involve:- Replacing existing ductile iron piping with RFP piping- Installing new valves and instrumentation, replacing the existing ones- Setting up temporary bypass systems- Performing phased work under strict shutdown restrictions- Replacing existing gas dryers with new ones, including small-bore stainless-steel piping (threaded/welded), fabricated SS piping, insulation, etc.- Installing miscellaneous metals, gratings, handrails, and light structural steel- Anchoring process equipment into concreteAll work takes place within OC SAN wastewater treatment plants, requiring work at heights, in areas with limited access, and creative rigging solutions.This is an exempt position, requiring 50-60 hours of work per week on-site, Monday through Friday, with a fixed salary regardless of hours worked. Upon completion of these projects, the superintendent will be reassigned to the next project within Southern California (LA, Orange, Riverside, or San Bernardino Counties).RequirementsQualifications:- At least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Superintendent, focusing on public works projects in the water and wastewater municipal sector.- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.- Must be based in Southern California (Costa Mesa area).- Relocation assistance is not available.- VISA sponsorship is not offered.
