WRiTE BRAiN BOOKS / WRiTE BRAiN WORLD is seeking a qualified professional with exceptional literacy skills, executive-level professional/personal assistant experience, excellent verbal communication skills, and enthusiasm for being part of a company that is innovating and shifting the education landscape and student/educator experiences within it. Candidates must be self-motivated, confident, patient, and prepared to play a vital supporting role in office, at meetings, and (at times) at conferences, trainings, and workshops if needed.

Based in Los Angeles, WRiTE BRAiN WORLD is a small-sized bur growing education company with programs implemented in all 50 states, during and after the school day. WBW’s curricula is the only in the world in the fun and academic art of children’s book authoring. WRiTE BRAiN’s mission is to empower students and educators through unparalleled educational programs that increase literacy, inspire creativity, and boost much needed self-esteem, delivering whole student development.
WBW offers a suite of social-emotional (SEL) skills-building programs and SEL is intentionally imbedded in every lesson plan, across all grade levels. Building writing, reading, speaking, and listening literacy, and social-emotional skills through standards-aligned, project-based English Language Arts and Development experiences, WRiTE BRAiN’s curricula and programs increase academic and personal confidence in students, while inspiring beleaguered educators in equal measure. Nearly 175,000 students have been served, with over 95% burdened by high-poverty and/or low academic performance. Around 75% or more of students using WB nationwide are classified English Learners.
WHO YOU ARE: An excellent communicator with strong skills in the areas of writing, organization, email tracking and follow up, systems and programs, immediate/short/long term project awareness and management. You are flexible and open to plans and objectives for the day changing in a flash with new priorities presenting themselves. You are ready and willing to learn new things to support and add value to the company. You have the ability to communicate effectively and knowledgeably with education professionals from both in school and after school arenas. You highly value our partners/customers and can provide them with on-going support. You’re a team player with a passion for bringing creative, project-based learning into the classroom and to out-of-school-time programs. You are eager to put your creativity to work at our ever-evolving company. You are mostly unflappable, not at all muddy, and you don’t perceive direct communication or inquiry as attack.
Qualifications:
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Highly organized with attention to detail
· Technologically proficient (familiarity with Macs, Google Suite, ASANA, CRMs, PandaDoc preferred)
· Team-oriented, flexible, and highly motivated
· Familiarity with current education landscape a huge plus
· Education experience would be much appreciated
Job duties include:
· Managing executive team's calendars and schedules
· Attending Zooms with CEO, taking notes and executing all follow-up/deliverables
· Robustly supporting as executives' go-to problem-solver
· Overseeing timelines and action items for long and short term company expansion projects
· Current and potential partner outreach via phone and email
· Supporting team with organization and management of conference and training spreadsheets
· Editing and proofreading content when needed
· Supporting with creation of conference and training session agendas
· Occasional travel for conference and/or training support - you are able to be on the road from time to time for short periods
Salary and benefits are competitive to business of same size and negotiable, based on experience. Company medical plan in place for when qualified. You are added to company life Insurance plan after one year.
IMPORTANT: This role requires your physical presence at our office in Hollywood area of Los Angeles. We have the luxury of being in a large and wonderful space in a safe and desirable area.
