Anchor Quest is partnering with a well-established boutique Commercial Construction firm based in beautiful Austin, TX They are in immediate need to hire a Superintendent to be based at their Corporate HQ's here in Austin. Must possess the following for immediate consideration:


Superintendent

Minimum of 5+ years working as a for a Large Commercial Construction company. Please note candidates ideally will possess Commercial ground up experience. Must demonstrate solid job stability and growth (no job hoppers). BS degree ideal but will consider experience in lei of it.


What will you be doing?


Construction Superintendent Tasks:

  • Monitor daily activities and compile reports on progress, compliance, and obstacles.
  • Inspect completed and in progress structures and sites for safety, compliance, and conforming to material and structural needs.
  • Enforce safety and legal regulations to ensure a safe job site.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and field staff to ensure adherence to schedules, plans, and specifications.
  • Assist in managing scope, costs and maintaining budgets for any assigned company projects or jobsites
  • As needed, create and maintain schedule for all assigned projects
  • Assist in making decisions regarding start up/shut down issues on assigned projects and instruct crew members accordingly
  • Help conduct periodic job site safety inspections and audits. Supervisory positions are ultimately responsible for all actions occurring on job site and ensuring safe working conditions for all.
  • Ensure that all assigned projects are built in the highest quality, according to plans and specs provided. Ensure that all equipment, vehicles, and tools issued by company are kept in safe, good working order and used properly
  • Represent company in job site progress meetings or any other meetings as requested or needed
  • Ensure completion of all pre- use equipment and tool checklist and inspections
  • As needed, complete daily job log, accurately detailing items such as work completed, working conditions, any issues, etc
  • Complete weekly timesheet and turn in weekly.
  • Assist in the approval of all job related costs for any assigned project, including but not limited to vendor and supplier invoices, payroll time records, and subcontractor expenses. etc.
  • Help to create, develop, and maintain a plan of action to complete jobs safely, on time, and under budget
  • Create and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers to keep smooth flow of operations
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with all parties involved regarding deliveries, general job progress, etc.
