As an SOC manager will act as the local manager for SOC analysts within the US and will be the primary escalation point for the region with the responsibility of Incident Manager.

The successful candidate will be expected to take part in the on-call rota to periodically provide cover for addressing any high and critical events outside normal working hours


Key Responsibilities

  • Hire, manage and lead a team of security staff including hiring, setting priorities, coaching, reviewing work products, preparing personnel reviews, and providing periodic reporting of the security teams activities. Oversee and participate in On-Call rotation for system security issues.
  • Lead the cyber security incident response and support processes and ensure that all security escalations are solved within management defined service levels.
  • Maintain all installations of security related applications, security operations playbooks, incident response plans, processes, procedures, and equipment. Drive proactive monitoring and reporting for security controls and Identify opportunities to implement security automation.
  • Manage vulnerability assessment processes and penetration testing activities and coordinate the remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Measure the effectiveness and performance of security operations controls through KPI metrics and identify methods to continuously enhance the security monitoring and incident response processes.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, perform containment and forensic investigations.


Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years' experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields such as Statistics, Data Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in information security leadership.
  • Broad working knowledge of information systems.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CISM preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to prioritize projects.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An understanding of best practices and how to implement them at a business-wide level.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise.
