SUMMARY

The Administrator II-Systems at is primarily responsible for supporting and maintaining Citrix environments, including Citrix Cloud services, and Netscaler infrastructure. The role is essential for the stable operation, system integrity, and security of Citrix XenApp systems and Netscaler appliances. A working knowledge of DNS, DFS, DFS-R, KMS, Microsoft CA, SCCM, and the administration of the Bomgar application is considered a plus. Experience with Ivanti for Citrix profile management, server template creation, building servers, VMware, Hyper-V, and disaster recovery environments is also valuable.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Citrix and Netscaler Administration (Primary Role) • Install, configure, and maintain Citrix XenApp environments and Citrix Cloud services. • Manage Netscaler configurations for optimal performance and security. • Monitor system performance, including load balancing and traffic management. • Maintain documentation of configurations and SOPs for Citrix and Netscaler systems. • Coordinate with IT teams to align Citrix and Netscaler infrastructure with IT security and compliance standards.

Domain Administration and Security • Administer group policies across a multi-domain, multi-forest environment. • Utilize Quest Auditor and related auditing tools for logins and anomaly research. • Manage password policies and handle security-related incidents and anomalies.

Server Template and Server Building • Develop and maintain server templates for efficient server provisioning and deployment. • Build servers in accordance with organizational standards and project requirements.

Virtualization and Systems Management • Utilize VMware and Hyper-V for virtualization tasks, contributing to system efficiency and disaster recovery preparedness. • Maintain familiarity with DNS, DFS, DFS-R, KMS, and Microsoft CA, ensuring their reliable operation and maintenance. • Use SCCM for application deployment and infrastructure management. • Administer the Bomgar application for secure remote system troubleshooting and support. • Apply working knowledge of Ivanti Environmental Manager specifically for Citrix profile management.

Technical Support • Provide technical expertise for Citrix, Netscaler, domain administration, and server provisioning issues. • Evaluate new technologies and recommend enhancements or upgrades.

Hardware and Software Maintenance • Maintain knowledge of server and peripheral equipment for Citrix and Netscaler environments. • Ensure Citrix and Netscaler systems software is up to date and secure.

Business Application Support • Determine system requirements for Citrix deployments, including Citrix Cloud and Netscaler, and support new applications within the Citrix environment. • Set up backup schedules and backup processing.

Special Projects • Participate in new technology introductions and assist with major software upgrades and replacements. • Work with Special Projects team to simulate DR environment which requires Citrix and Netscaler configurations.

Continuing Training and Education • Stay current with Citrix, Netscaler, domain administration technologies, virtualization platforms, and other relevant systems through training and industry events.

Other • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including emergency response and maintenance outside standard hours. • Be available to be on call for a week at a time, a few weeks out of the year, to provide support as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS • 2 years’ experience with Citrix XenApp 6.x and higher, Netscaler, and Citrix Cloud. • Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, DNS, DFS, DFS-R, KMS, Microsoft CA, SCCM, Bomgar application administration, and Ivanti Environmental Manager for Citrix profile management is a plus. • Experience with server template creation, server building, and disaster recovery environments is highly desirable. • Experience with SecureAuth and other authentication and multi-factor software is advantageous. • Strong troubleshooting skills for Citrix environments, group policies, and security incidents. • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation. • Ability to respond to emergency on-call situations and work outside of standard hours.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • College diploma or university degree in computer science or a related field, or 5 years equivalent work experience. • Certifications in Citrix and related technologies preferred.
